What does Axision mean? Axision is short for "multi-axis precision" laser cutting. Our mission is to provide affordable multi-axis laser cutting to companies seeking to improve the quality of their parts and save money on costly manufacturing processes. 5-axis laser cutting is a highly technical manufacturing process that is designed to eliminate equipment, fixtures, and labor by laser cutting with a robotic arm.

My name is Carey Babcock and I'm the president of Axision. As a salesman for a metal forming company, I first saw a 5-axis laser cutting machine at the Fab-Tech trade show in Chicago. At the time, multi-axis laser cutting was available primarily to large OEM's or fabricators tied to the automotive industry. The technology excited me and I realized how many different applications and parts could be finished on the laser. I believe this high tech, quick turnaround equipment is the future of manufacturing in America.

Our laser features open architecture to cut the largest formed parts (up to 22’ long!) or the smallest commercial applications. We can cut flat sheet as well as formed parts and can complete welded assemblies.

Today, I enjoy meeting with engineers and manufacturing managers to see if we can save money on the cost of their parts. We give engineers greater flexibility in design and offer a quick turnaround time on prototyping or production runs.
