How Does a 5-Axis Laser Work?

This drawn part is cut and finished with a multi-axis laser.

The part is complete and loaded on a skid and shipped back to the OEM. In the past, this part may have been drawn, then fixtured for punch pressing to cut the holes and slots, then the contour cut with a saw, then the sharp edges de-burred. The 5-axis laser condensed four processes to one and saved on fixturing and labor.
